Rey Mysterio Announces his Participation in the Strong Style Evolved Event

Rey Mysterio will fight for the first time in NJPW

Great surprise at the “The New Beginning in Osaka” event of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Rey Mysterio has appeared in a promotional video assuring that he will fight at the ” Strong Style Evolved” event, which will be held in Long Beach, California, on March 25. It is the first time that Mysterio will fight for NJPW.

Mysterio says in the video that he is happy to fight for NJPW and throws a challenge to Japanese legend Jushin ” Thunder” Liger to fight in the United States. It will be the first time that King will fight for the Japanese promoter, but not against Liger, since both already fought in the extinct WCW in their great event Starrcade, in 1996.

The announcement has caught all attendees and fans of wrestling by surprise since Mysterio appeared by surprise at the WWE Royal Rumble event and, as was reported in the last days, he and the McMahon company. They were in negotiations to sign a contract. However, Mysterio wants a partial contract, while WWE wants him to be full-time.
