Will Ospreay Reveals He did Not Accept a WWE's Offer

Will Ospreay has quickly become one of the most important names in the independent circuit in recent years with the highlights of his talent exhibited with New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor.

The current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship a native of the United Kingdom has received many accolades from Paul Heyman, Dave Meltzer and Kenny Omega and is touted as the next great character in sports entertainment.

Speaking with Jericho, Ospreay said about the possibility of going to the WWE: “When I was a kid I always wanted to be at WrestleMania, I always wanted to be like you (Jericho), John Cena or any of those guys. It has always been in my mind, but when I came here (NJPW) I grew more. The other day they called me on the phone to ask about my contacts and things like that. I appreciate it, but I’m happy here and I love being part of Japan. ”

Will Ospreay signed with NJPW in 2016 and has not looked back since then. He reported that he still has some time left in his current contract and as he is still creating headlines like the current IWGP junior heavyweight champion he is expected to be in the company for a while yet.

Some of the dream combats Ospreay could have in WWE will be out of this world. If he was going to sign with NXT or on the main roster he will stand out as a superior athlete.
