The commissioner of RAW will be at the comments table for the Royal Rumble women
WWE will hold its Royal Rumble 2018 event next Sunday, January 28, which will take place from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show will feature the first Royal Rumble women’s match. At the moment the list of full participants has not been announced, but new surprises related to it continue to be revealed.
Through a message on her personal Twitter account, RAW Commissioner and WWE Brand Manager, Stephanie McMahon, has confirmed that she will join the Royal Rumble commentator table, exclusively during the Women’s Royal Rumble fight. In this way, Stephanie will comment on the historic event.
Announcing the first-ever women’s #RoyalRumble match was one of my all-time favorite moments in @WWE… And now I’m proud to share that I’ll be joining the Announce team for this historic match this Sunday! #RumbleForAll #RoyalRumble pic.twitter.com/ehovcuGCXG

In the absence of completing the list of participants and with 12 positions to cover, it has begun to be rumored that McMahon could have some kind of participation in the meeting. It should be remembered that this has been done in the past with other surprise participants, who have entered from the table of comments as was the case of Michael Cole in the 2012 edition. The last time Stephanie was under a ring participating as a competitor was in SummerSlam 2014, defeating Brie Bella.
At the moment no more details of more participants have been revealed, but it has been reported that between 7 and 9 positions would be occupied by NXT fighters, while the rest could belong to legends or surprises, such as the rumored Ronda Rousey. This will be the first time that a female Royal Rumble will be held. It will work with the same rules as its male counterpart and the winner will get an opportunity for the Women’s Championship of her brand at WrestleMania 34 on April 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
