World of Sport Wrestling will return to the screens on July 28

World of Sport Wrestling already has the date of return to the screens of Great Britain. As announced on its official Twitter account, the program will be issued after a long time on July 28 at 17:00 pm British time. The program can be viewed on the private channel ITV.

World of Sport was a sports anthology series that was broadcast for 20 years at ITV and presented the best and greatest fighters in Europe. When the decision was made in 1985 to cancel the series, local wrestling in that region was paralyzed for many years, setting the stage for the then growing popularity of the WWF in the region to flourish only a few years later.

The program will return to the screens after the pilot episode was broadcast in 2017 with great success (more than a million viewers). We recall that after that chapter, no more was issued. Impact Wrestling is METI and brought many fighters from the developer, along with Jeff Jarrett, who was the creative director to give more quality to the program. Due to calendar and logistics problems between the Impact fighters, the project was postponed and then canceled, until ITV and several shareholders decided to refloat the project.

Fighters like Grade, Will Ospreay, Rampage, Ayesha or Joe Hendry will be present. As previously reported, WOS announced five new sets of taping Norwich last May. Last season to 10 episodes.

The arrival of WOS means the bet that they have before the announcement of WWE’s NXT UK division. Some of the new fighters of the American company like Zack Gibson or El Ligero could appear in some episode of World of Sport.
