WWE Wins Two Webby Awards for WrestleMania 33

WWE has won two Webby Awards in its 2018 edition, awards that are awarded to the best web in the world of the year. As for the American company, it has received the Webby Award 2018 and the Webby People’s Voice Award in the category of “Social Events” for its coverage at WrestleMania 33 which was held last year from the Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando (Florida).

In the People’s Voice Prize, the public has a very important role as it is who chooses the winner in each category of the awards. In the category of “Social Events”, WrestleMania 33 has managed to overcome the coverage of the MTV EMA Awards, the World Series presented by YouTube TV, the iHeart Radio Music Awards and the Global Capture Challenge of Pokémon GO Travel.

Likewise, WWE has also received other awards from three distinctive categories. The Kickoff of WrestleMania 33 won the award in the category of “Movies and Video: Events and live broadcast”, the WWE Now program in “Movies and Video: Sports” and WWE Social Media in the “Social Entertainment” category.
