As reported by Wrestling Observer in the last hours, Aleister Black went through the operating room this week after suffering an injury in the NXT live event that was held on Saturday in Las Vegas. In the main event of the show, Tommaso Ciampa defeated Black to retain the NXT Championship and he did it thanks to a crushing blow, a movement that supposedly caused Black’s injury.
Apparently, Black is “in good condition”, although he must recover from the operation and that could imply his absence in the fight for the NXT Championship in Takeover: Brooklyn IV, the event to be held on August 18 before SummerSlam. However, nobody has been able to specify an exact date for his return, so for now, his appearance in the special event is an unknown.
The last message from Black on social networks was published yesterday and neither he nor WWE has commented anything about the operation. At the television level, Black made his last appearance this week in the main event of the NXT show where he witnessed the attack of Johnny Gargano on Tommaso Ciampa and in which he participated attacking Gargano.
