We all saw that the match at Wrestlemania 34 was a clear squash for The Undertaker, but is WWE planning a rematch between the two?
In a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live, the possibility of a rematch of WrestleMania 34 between The Undertaker and John Cena was discussed.
Apparently, The Undertaker and Cena could fight one more time at this year’s SummerSlam PPV. In addition, additional details have been given about it.
Veteran journalist Bryan Alvarez said The Undertaker is scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York this year.
In addition, Alvarez said the idea that The Undertaker will face John Cena at SummerSlam in New York, in what would be a rematch of their WrestleMania 34 encounter is a real possibility.
In addition, it was also emphasized that Cena recently did an interview talking about his defeat at WrestleMania 34 against The Undertaker, where the former insinuated that the main reason behind that loss to the Deadman is that he was not prepared for the latter to appear suddenly and fight against him.
That, in turn, could be a subtle sign from WWE and Cena, alluding to a possible rematch between him and The Undertaker.
In Road to WrestleMania 34 which took place in April of this year, WWE created a rather unique enmity between The Undertaker and John Cena, a dispute in which Cena constantly mocked a “Taker absent weeks before” from Mania.
In fact, WWE booed Cena to sit among the crowd, among WWE fans at WrestleMania 34, only to have The Undertaker finally show up and defeat Cena in a short showdown.
Now it seems that there could be a new battle between the two. Would you like to see it?
