It is not a former superstar as popular as Trish Stratus or Lita but in recent months we have been talking about a return of Kaitlyn to WWE since she put on her boots again at the end of 2017. And although she did not participate in the historic first women’s Royal Rumble, speculations about a return to the domain of Vince McMahon have remained constant, revealing that she was behind the scenes of NXT a couple weeks ago.
When the river sounds it is water, they say, and effectively, WWE has ended up getting wet, making the following announcement via Twitter.
SHE’S BACK! @catherinekelley has the scoop on former #DivasChampion Kaitlyn (@CelesteBonin) joining the 2018 @WWE @MaeYoungClassic as its first announced competitor! #MaeYoungClassic pic.twitter.com/j72eAj2K9Y

And on its official website, the company expanded the news.
“After more than four years away from WWE, former Divas Champion Kaitlyn will make her in-ring return this summer when she competes in the 2018 Mae Young Classic.
The news, which was first reported by ESPN, makes Kaitlyn the first official participant to be revealed for this year’s 32-woman tournament.”
The second edition of the Mae Young Classic will be played on August 8 and 9 from the Full Sail Live in Orlando (Florida), and although Kaitlyn is the first official participant, Sendai Girls revealed that Meiko Satomura would be one of those involved in the contest . In addition, Mia Yim, Rhea Ripley, Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm appear in the pools.
