Glenn Jacobs known in WWE as Kane, won the primaries yesterday to become the Republican candidate for mayor of Knox County in the upcoming election. Jacobs faced the other candidates Brad Anders and Bob Thomas and won with a total of 17 votes. The announcement has not yet been made official but the results that were published yesterday give the victory to Jacobs.
Kane will now have to face the former president of the Knox County Democratic Party, Linda Haney, who won the Democratic primary. The general election will be held on November 6 and the new mayor will be decided on that vote.

Recall that Kane has been receiving support from several WWE superstars in recent weeks such as The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Titus O’Neil, Big Show or Daniel Bryan. It is rumored that Kane will retire from the professional wrestling world if he wins and becomes mayor. The fact that he has not already done so is because if he does not win he will return to WWE to make a final sprint in his career. However, from here to November Kane could reappear in a WWE event, although it has not yet been announced.
