The news portal WrestlingInc provided new information about the situation of Kevin Owens with WWE. Yesterday, during the Monday Night Raw broadcast, the former Universal champion announced his immediate resignation from the company and it seems that the story would lead him to return to the SmackDown Live template.
As previously reported, on Monday “KO” announced his resignation and left the program after being defeated by Seth Rollins in an Intercontinental Championship match. In addition, WWE moved the wrestler to the alumni section (former-superstars) of its Internet portal. Owens also removed his name and biography from his Twitter account, along with almost all the publications, leaving some photos of the various championships captured in the company and his rivalry with Braun Strowman.
If confirmed rumors, Owens would return to SmackDown Live after a period of 4 months on Raw. Remember that the Canadian left the program on Tuesday after competing along with Sami Zayn with the commissioner and general manager of the blue brand, Shane McMahon, and Daniel Bryan being dismissed and later hired to be part of the Monday cast.
In Raw, Owens did not find the success he expected and he found himself missing out against superstars like Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman, in particular, the latter defeated him several times, humiliating him in the process.
Finally, it seems that the fighter’s series of failures would lead him to return to the place where he tried to escape for several months.
