Rey Mysterio was returned to the Royal Rumble only for one night after signing a contract of this caliber. However, PWInsider.com has informed tonight that Mysterio and WWE had begun negotiations for their incorporation into the template.
However, the portal explains that the talks have not started well because of discrepancies in the role that both parties want. WWE wants Mysterio as a full-time fighter, but Rey Mysterio will be interested in having a part-time contract, as have other superstars such as Brock Lesnar and John Cena, due to his age and also in his interest in other projects. Mysterio wants to continue being the teacher of his son, Dominick, in the world of wrestling and having a full-time contract would impede him.
Mysterio, in an interview for ESPN published in December, said he will love to return to the company, but part-time and, if not, would not return. “I do not think I can return full time, that was my main reason for leaving because I wanted to have some free time, I’m still working very hard right now on the independent scene, and the best thing is that I control my schedule.”
Recall that Rey Mysterio was also in negotiations with Impact Wrestling, but has not disclosed more information about it.
