Still in negotiations with WWE officials, Rey Mysterio hopes to be back in the coming weeks. The Stamford Federation wants the former world heavyweight champion to come back as soon as possible so the wrestler cancels some of his bookings on the independent stage.
Through a statement on its Facebook page, the Northeast Wrestling Federation said recently that Rey Mysterio will not be present at the company’s show on August 24th. The latter said that this cancellation was directly related to a contract between Mysterio and WWE.
“Unfortunately due to his upcoming contractual situation with WWE Rey Mysterio is unable to appear on August 24th. If you purchased Rey Mysterio preordered meet and greet items they will be refunded or can be used towards other superstars.”
For the moment, he is still scheduled to participate in the All In event of the Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes but it is not impossible that he will come back a little before to shoot documentaries which will then be broadcast on the Network of the Vince McMahon Federation.
