Former WWE champion Rey Mysterio would be returning to the McMahon company soon. The well-known fighter would be ending his last independent appearances before his return, in addition to canceling several appearances by the end of the year.
According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider, Rey Mysterio will attend as an independent fighter his last two dates, participating first in Lucha Expo, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he will be on August 31. The other date would be in ALL IN, the event funded by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks on Sept. 1 at the Sears Center Arena where he will fight alongside King Fenix and Bandit against Golden Elite (Kota Ibushi and Young Bucks) at the event principal.
After that and as indicated by information from SEScoops.com, Mysterio will join WWE at the beginning of October. After the cancellation of his appearances after the second week of September, the fighter would return just for the promotional campaign of the video game WWE 2K19.
It should be remembered that the fighter is one of the faces of this year for the game (he is part of the exclusive superstar in the pre-purchase) and his return could also mean a boost in sales of the game, which opens on October 5.
The fighter has commented in interviews that his future is not clear but finally seems to end up returning to WWE after 4 years away from it.
During this year he had two special appearances, one competing in the Royal Rumble and the other in the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
