WWE has officially announced that all its PPVs will have superstars of both RAW and SmackDown Live after the WrestleMania 34 so that the two PPVs prior to WrestleMania 34 Elimination Chamber (RAW) and Fastlane (SmackDown Live) will be the last two exclusive PPVs of the company. The statement released by WWE, and which also informs of the dates of all the PPV that are missing in 2018, says the following:
“After WrestleMania 34, you will get the best of both brands (RAW and SmackDown Live) every month on each PPV. Enjoy all the events on the award-winning WWE Network.
WrestleMania 34 – April 8, 2018.
WWE Backlash – May 6, 2018.
WWE Money in the Bank – June 17, 2018.
WWE Extreme Rules – July 15, 2018.
SummerSlam – August 19, 2018.
WWE Hell in a Cell – September 16, 2018.
WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs – October 21, 2018.
Survivor Series – November 18, 2018.
WWE Clash of Champions – December 16, 2018. ”
According to PWInsider, the announcement was kept secret until the official time. WWE reported this news in the sale of Backlash tickets but seeing the little reaction that caused decided to make it official and thus get a greater number of sales in the coming weeks. Backlash tickets will go on sale on February 24.
WWE talent was not informed until the announcement. The story was denied until the end, and the board felt it convenient not to comment on the template.
As you can see, some changes have been made to the PPVs calendar. Previously, Payback was scheduled for May 27 but has been removed. Extreme Rules was scheduled for September 16 but has been advanced to July 15, and Battleground has been removed. Hell in a Cell was scheduled to be held on September 30 but now it will be on the 16th of September.
