WWE will hold a Live Event in Finland for the first time in ten years

WWE has published on its website a press release confirming that next May, the company will again hold an event not televised in Finland after almost a decade without visiting the European country. The last show of the company in Finnish lands took place in September 2009 and was run by the cast of Raw.

As happened in 2009, the event will take place in Helsinki, the country’s capital. The chosen pavilion was the Helsinki Ice Hall, and the show will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019. Tickets will be on sale next September 17 at 9 am (local time).

The company has confirmed that this time the SmackDown roster will be in charge of entertaining the Finnish fans. The first confirmed superstars for the event are AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Charlotte Flair, Samoa Joe, The New Day, The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Carmella, Becky Lynch, and Asuka, although as usual for this type of event, the talent list is subject to changes.

To celebrate this event, WWE will have the collaboration of Live Nation, a company dedicated to live entertainment. Niksu Vaisto, Senior Promoter of Live Nation in Finland stated that they were delighted to bring the biggest sports entertainment event to Finland after an absence of 10 years” and that they are “excited to bring families together for an unforgettable live experience. “
