Stone Cold can’t fill out his wrestling Mount Rushmore

Stone Cold Steve Austin will not Appear in Wrestlemania 34

Stone Cold can’t fill out his wrestling Mount Rushmore

Trying to compile a list of the ‘Ten Best/Worst XXX’ can be one of the hardest things someone who creates articles can do at times, as there is undoubtedly going to be some backlash from readers as they will disagree with a lot of things and question how other things had been ‘forgotten’ in the process.

Of course, American’s will have something similar to this, as well, but they will also have a ‘Mount Rushmore’ process that they will also be questioned about as the landmark is known as the pinnacle.

So, when Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked about who would be on his Mount Rushmore of wrestling, he decided to only provide those interested with half of it, leaving two of the four spots open and up for debate amongst fans.

When asked in a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Stone Cold Steve Austin could only come up with two names and stated that there were far too many options to choose from, not because he did not know who to choose. Never would have had Stone Cold to shy away from making a decision and sticking to his guns about it.

The two names he mentioned, though: Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Two names many would not argue with and many may have headed to for the best betting bonuses as names that would be mentioned by the legend.

The 56-year-old said: “I never build one, but I’ll build half of one. Because in my mind you have to have Ric Flair, you have to have Hulk Hogan and I’ll leave the rest for anybody to do.

“I know you have Bruno Sammartino from that era, but my two guys that I’ll always go to are Hogan and Flair. And I’ll leave the rest to everybody else.”

He might have only done half a job when answering the question, but he still managed to stop short of putting himself on it, which is something many would not have a problem with if he had in all truth.

“I’m not going to put myself on there, because I’m not going to blow smoke. I had a good run, if someone’s got me on there that’s cool, but my two are Hogan and Flair,” he added.

“It would’ve been great to go against Hogan. He was still pretty primed up, he was on the backside but could still do it. My headspace wasn’t in the right place, but certainly I could’ve done it.”

It does seem strange that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is not on the list given their classic matches and history in the WWE (WWF) together, but who wants to argue with 3:16 at the end of the day when a Stone Cold Stunner might just come your way if you do?
