The Spanish wrestler Alex Ace has participated in the first tryout in the history of WWE in Germany, thus becoming the first Spanish talent to be part of the access tests of the company.
The sessions have been held in the city of Cologne and have been attended by more than 40 fighters and wrestlers, according to WWE, among which are Ilja Dragunov or Jurn Simmons. The tryout lasted a total of four days (from November 4 to November 8) and included “a lot of cardio”, “outdoor sessions” and a match.
Alex has described the experience, which was run by Matt Bloom, Robbie Brookside and Sarah Stock, as “the best” and most “tough” of his life. “I learned a lot and I’ve met incredible people.”
Ace, 31 years old and originally from Barcelona, measures 2.09 meters and weighs 115 kilos. With three years as a professional wrestler, Ace has worked in Spanish Pro-Wrestling (SPW) and in RIOT Wrestling, in which he debuted. He has participated internationally in France and Japan, in the promoters Sportiva, Team Dera, and DDT Pro-Wrestling.
The wrestler explained that the feedback received was “positive” and he is optimistic about his future. In turn, Alex wanted to highlight the intensity of his preparation before the tryout, with intensive training by the hand of national fighter Jorge Morillas and the presence of Bad Boy.
