Cain Velasquez signs with AAA

Mexican company AAA held a press conference on March 26 to announce that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez signed a wrestling contract with them. The first fight at the AAA will take place on August 3, 2019 for the TripleMania XXVII PPV against an opponent that remains to be determined.

Velasquez left the UFC in February 2019 after losing 26 seconds against Francis Ngannou and wanted to start a new adventure. In July 2018 Velasquez had already explored some adventures while training in the WWE ring at the Florida Performance Center, but as can be seen, he made his choice in Mexico with the AAA. We must not forget that the AAA has signed a partnership with All Elite Wrestling, so it will also be possible to see Velasquez fight on American soil in the coming months.
