Gail Kim will be Referee for the Knockouts Championship match at Impact Homecoming

In the IMPACT broadcast held this week, it was confirmed that the retired fighter Gail Kim will be the special invited referee for the match between Taya Valkyrie and Tessa Blanchard for the Impact Knockouts championship.

The IMPACT commentator Josh Matthews was in charge of giving this news in a segment with both competitors. The challenger, Valkyrie, said that her rival only lives by escaping and that she will be able to overcome her in Homecoming.

On the other hand, Blanchard pointed to her opponent’s husband, stating that it is the closest she has been to a championship and assuring her that she will remain as champion. After the statements of both, Matthews confirmed the presence of Gail Kim as the guest referee for this title match. Thus, Kim makes her first appearance in IMPACT since February this year, when she played her last bout before retiring from the quadrilaterals.

Impact Homecoming will be next January 6, 2019, at The Asylum, the venue where the Impact Wrestling transmissions were previously made in Nashville, Tennessee. Below is the card of the event:
