Chris Jericho Returns to NJPW and Attacks Tetsuya Naito

Chris Jericho has returned to make an appearance in New Japan Pro Wrestling during the Wrestling Dontaku event held this morning. On this occasion, the former WWE World Champion has attacked Tetsuya Naito after the team fight with Naito, SANADA, EVIL, BUSHI and Hiromu Takahashi against Minoru Suzuki, Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr., The Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Jericho was among the audience wearing a BUSHI mask so they would not recognize him. After the fight, he attacked Naito at ringside and threw him against a fence. In the ring, Jericho applied the Codebreaker and a blow with a bell to make it bleed. Naito left the place bleeding, but before doing so he attacked one of the young lions in frustration. After its appearance, the Y2J posted an image on Instagram that you can see below:

It should be noted that during the last few days, Mike Johnson from the PW Insider portal revealed the possibility that Jericho made his appearance in one of the Wrestling Dontaku shows. Chris Jericho’s last appearance on screen came at WWE during the Greatest Royal Rumble celebration.

The former WWE world champion will be back to the Japanese company to continue his rivalry against the new IWGP Intercontinental champion Tetsuya Naito whom Jericho attacked in the New Year’s Dash 2018 event, his last appearance with New Japan. It should be remembered that Chris Jericho returned to NJPW in 2017 to fight Kenny Omega in Wrestle Kingdom 12 a fight that he finally lost but that took away the five stars of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
