NJPW Exceeded its Best Historical Sales Record

The former president of the Japanese company New Japan Pro Wrestling and a member of Bushi Road’s governing body his mother company Takaaki Kidani was recently interviewed by a local media. Kidani gave some figures obtained by the company in economic matters, highlighting that they have surpassed the best sales mark in their history.

According to the article, translated by Twitter user Chris Charlton, Kidani said that NJPW obtained a total of 4.9 billion yen, equivalent to 44,100,000 dollars in sales, comfortably surpassing the best brand so far, obtained in 1997. Of course, the figure also marks the second-best data for a wrestling company behind WWE.

In other news related to the company, NJPW has renewed its television agreement by broadcasting a weekly two-hour program on the French channel J-One. Apparently, there would also be news regarding a European expansion in countries such as Belgium, Italy and around the United Kingdom which would take place during the week.
