NJPW G1 Special in San Francisco full Card
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) confirmed today the full card that will make up the show of the G1 Special in San Francisco which will take place in the United States on July 7 from Cow Palace.
Previously announced several struggles as the defense of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship between Kenny Omega and Cody . In addition, it has been revealed that Hiroshi Tanahashi, KUSHIDA and King Haku will be present, among others, in pairs to fill the lower area of the card. Minoru Suzuki will have Zack Saber Jr. to face Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano, continuing tensions between Ishii and Suzuki in recent days.
In the new title defenses included, there is the challenge of Jeff Cobb against Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship. Goto won the belt last Sunday on Kizuna Road, ending the 6-day reign of Michael Elgin. Cobb who was also working on the tour, came out to help Elgin and incidentally challenged Goto to a fight for the title.
Hiromu Takahashi will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Dragon Lee. Hiromu will fulfill his second title defense against his archenemy. After defeating The Desperado on Kizuna Road, Hiromu called Lee, saying he wanted to face him again. The CMLL talent accepted the duel on Twitter, confirming that both would face each other again. It should be remembered that Lee has a victory over Hiromu at the Best of The Super Juniors.
