NJPW Strong Style Evolved UK Results (Night 1 & 2): Suzuki def. Tomohiro

NJPW Strong Style Evolved UK ResultsNew Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) held its Strong Style Evolved UK events in the UK this weekend along with the British company Revolution Pro-Wrestling. The shows took place on Saturday June 30 from the Ice Arena in Milton Keynes in front of 2800 viewers and the second night on Sunday July 1 from the Altrincham Arena in Oakfield in front of more than 3000 viewers. The shows were recorded and distributed by the RevPro on Demand platform and by New Japan World in the coming days.

In these shows you could see several interesting encounters, with the presence of fighters from outside the company such as WALTER or David Starr, as well as several incumbents, such as CHAOS against Suzuki-gun for the British tag team Championships or Tomohiro Ishii defending the Indisputed British Championship against Minoru Suzuki at night 2. Without further delay we leave you with the results:

Strong Style Evolved UK – Night 1:

The Great O-Khan defeated Shota Umino. Umino was fighting a surprise participant, which turned out to be Tomoyuki Oka with a new character and clothes. O-Khan managed to win after a Mongolian Chops jumping from the corner.

Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori and Yujiro Takahashi) defeated the Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis). Aussie Open received a great ovation from the public. The Club managed to overcome with traps and dividing their rivals. In the end Ishimori remains with Fletcher and applies the Bloody Cross for the count of three.

Tiger Mask IV defeated David Starr. Equal match in which the title of Starr was not put into play. The Product looked for an advantage but Tiger reduced it with strong kicks. Tiger Mask manages to fit the Tiger Driver for the count of three.

Suzuki-gun (The Desperado, Taichi and Takashi Iizuka) defeated CHAOS (Jay White, Gedo and Toru Yano). Duel between teams with fights between the public. Iizuka bit the referee of the contest. Finally Iizuka hits with the Iron Finger From Hell to win.

WALTER defeated Yuji Nagata. Fight strong and even with both hitting as hard as they could. WALTER gets the victory after a powerful Lariat.

YOSHI-HASHI defeated Chris Brookes. YOSHI-HASHI was surpassed by Brookes, clear favorite of the public. Finally HASHI gets to take advantage and ends with the Karma for the count of three.

Will Ospreay defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Kanemaru dominated Ospreay by attacking his neck and with dirty game tactics. Ospreay endured a Deep Impact and kept fighting. Finally Ospreay connects the Stormbreaker for the count of three.

British Indisputed TAG TEAM Championship: Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki and Zack Saber Jr.) defeated CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii) to retain the belts. Equal fight in which Suzuki went for Okada, exchanging punches. Zack managed to control Okada with several locks. Suzuki finally had moments of action against Ishii. The end comes with Suzuki and Zack working Ishii, who surrenders after the Jim Breaks Armbar.

Strong Style Evolved UK – Night 2:

The Great O-Kharn defeated Danny Duggan. Oka again appeared with his new character against Duggan as a surprise opponent. O-Kharn managed to dominate Duggan and won after a Mongolian Chop from the corner.

Yuji Nagata defeated Shota Umino. Nagata surpasses the young Umino in an individual duel in which Umino had several moments where he shined. Umino applies a Boston Crab, but Nagata does not give up. After several blows, Nagata connects the Nagata Lock II to gain by submission.

Suzuki-gun (The Desperado, Takashi Iizuka and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeated CHAOS (Gedo, Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI). Duel entertained with Suzuki-gun using traps to be superior. Yano received the support of the public and Iizuka fought among the public. In the end Iizuka tries to use the Iron Finger From Hell and it is Kanemaru who applies the Deep Impact to Gedo to win.

WALTER defeated Yujiro Takahashi. Yujiro tried to match the Austrian wrestler, who reduced Yujiro with heavy blows. Finally WALTER applies a Powerbomb to win.

Taichi defeated Will Ospreay. Taichi used his traps to overcome the agility and intensity of Ospreay. In the final moments Kanemaru enters to distract Ospreay, giving Taichi time to apply a hit with his microphone and the Last Ride Powerbomb for the count of three.

British Junior Heavyweight Championship: David Starr (c) defeated Tiger Mask IV, El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori to retain the title. Phantasmo received great support with a good performance. Combat divided with action and aerial movements. Starr tried to break the mask of Tiger Mask, getting it at the end and covering Tiger for the count of three.

Jay White defeated Kyle Fletcher. Chris Brookes was replaced by Fletcher due to a cold. Switchblade overtook Fletcher with heavy chops to Fletcher’s chest, which endured the punishment. Finally Fletcher fails a jump and White grabs him to run the Blade Runner and counts three.

Zack Saber Jr. defeated Kazuchika Okada. Okada introduced new pants. Okada sought victory with all his movements, but Saber reduced him with several submissions, countering all the offensive of the Japanese. Zack focused on castrating Okada’s arm and after a Rainmaker, ZAck was able to hold on. Okada looks for a final Rainmaker, but Zack dodges and Japanese Clutch for the count of three.

British Indisputed Championship: Minoru Suzuki defeated Tomohiro Ishii (c) to be crowned as the new champion. Duel highlighted at night with heavy blows. Both looked for any movement, with Suzuki trying several submissions. Suzuki ends with several strokes and the Gotch-Style Piledriver for the count of three.
