Several PWG talents will be participating in NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 13
Several wrestlers of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) will be participating in Wrestle Kingdom 13, the most important event of the year of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). New information places these talents having some type of matches on the NJPW card.
Dave Meltzer, a journalist specialized in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, has reported on this in the last weekly report published by the Observer. According to Meltzer, several of PWG’s top talent will participate in the Wrestle Kingdom, so PWG will not be able to hold an event earlier this year, forcing them to change their organization in January.
Meltzer does not happen to give any specific name, just points out that it is a “surprisingly high” number of talents. Among the possibilities to participate is Jeff Cobb. Cobb, current PWG Champion, and Ring of Honor Television Champion have previously expressed interest in being in the Tokyo Dome. During the next month, he will be fighting alongside Michael Elgin as part of the 2018 World Tag League.
Wrestle Kingdom 13 will take place on January 4, 2019 from Tokyo Dome. In previous years it has been seen as old talents and belonging to other companies competed in special matches such as team battles or in the New Japan Rumble, the battle royal that NJPW performs as previous to Wrestle Kingdom for a few years.
