Ring of Honor Presents New Designs for all Its Championship belts
The company Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH) has presented this afternoon a new set of belts. With a view to 2018 and to renew its image, the company of Sinclair Broadcasting Group (SBG) will begin the year with new designs for its championships of trios, in tag team, television, and World. These modifications maintain the trend of the last month, where a different world champion belt was presented and the first championship for the women’s division, Women of Honor.
The new belts have been presented by ROH’s main commentator, Ian Riccaboni, through an official video. All belts will be delivered to their respective carriers (Motor City Machine Guns, Hung Bucks and Silas Young) during the first event of the year, a television recording scheduled for the end of January in the city of Nashville. The classic belts, as has happened historically, will be stored in the official store of the company.
The world tag team championship, introduced in 2002, will undergo a fourth design change. The trios championship, created just a year ago, will change the design for the first time. This movement has been surprising to have the original design so little time; however, the company intends to start a “new era” in 2018 and considers that the change of image was necessary. The television championship, meanwhile, will undergo a third design change.
