ROH NJPW War of the Worlds 2018: Toronto Results (Day 2)

Ring of Honor (ROH) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) continue to travel across North America to bring the best wrestling on the planet to their fans. This Friday, May 11, the second tour event will take place in the city of Toronto (Canada).

The main event had to be changed by the absence of two fighters. Dalton Castle was injured as announced in the previous show. Also, Flip Gordon did not make it to Toronto on time due to problems with the flights so he was replaced by Colt Cabana.

Below is the results of ROH NJPW War of the Worlds 2018: Toronto:

– Jay White defeated Punishment Martinez to retain the IWGP United States Championship. he starts at pure blow on the part of both in an intense opener. Adam Page distracted Punishment so that White could exploit and connect the Blade Runner.

– Cheeseburger defeated Bully Ray by DQ. Bully wrecked Cheeseburger without worrying about the rules of combat, causing her disqualification after using her chain against Burger.

– Tetsuya Naito defeated Beer City Bruiser. The Ungovernable began with mental games avoiding physical contact with Bruiser. BCB took the initiative and managed to control part of the match but when Naito decided it changed the situation. Two Destinations to end the fight after one that did not go well at all.

– The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) defeated Super Smash Bros (Evil One & Stu Grayson) in one of the most outstanding matches of the night. A lot of action starts with both tag teams with Uno and Grayson about to take the victory several times. Finally, the Bucks connected the Meltzer Driver to succeed. Huge response from the fans during the confrontation.

After the fight, The Briscoes attacked the four fighters. Mark and Jay remembered that they are the ones who rule in this place, according to their own words.

– Jenny Rose & Tenille Dashwood defeated Alexia Nicole & Xandra Bale. Sumie Sakai joined the commentator table during the match.

– SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) defeated Roppongi 3K (Rocky Romero, SHO & YOH). Entertaining and dynamic encounter between both teams with good phases of dominance by Romero and his teammates. Celebrity Rehab on Romero for the victory of SoCal Uncensored.

– Silas Young defeated Adam Page to retain the ROH World Championship. Before the match, Punishment Martinez brutally attacked Page. Likewise, Adam decided to fight against Silas and even managed to put him in trouble. Young took the victory via Misery.

– Cody defeated Jushin Thunder Liger. The American Nightmare won the legend by applying the CrossRhodes despite having received a saddle in the closing stages. After a blow to the refere, Cody tried to use a chair against Liger but ended up being the one who received the blow.

– The Ungovernables (EVIL, SANADA & Hiromu Takahashi) defeated Jay Lethal, Kenny King & Colt Cabana. The match was agreed like four against four but the injury of Castle did not allow him to participate. Flip Gordon who will join the ROH team could not make it to Toronto in time and was replaced by Colt Cabana. Dynamic action for more than 20 minutes with great performances by everyone present.
