ROH State of the Art: San Antonio Results

ROH began its tour of the state of Texas last night. The Aztec Theater of San Antonio hosted the first night of State of the Art. The evening has been described as one of the best broadcasts in Honor Club this year (excluding PPVs) and was attended by international talents such as Atlantis, Lance Archer, Hurricane Helms or Thunder Rosa, among others.

ROH fighters Flip Gordon and Marty Scurll made their return to the company. After a month in Japan fighting in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, both fighters returned to the United States. The Briscoes, on the other hand, were not present at the show due to a problem with their flights.

Below are the full results of the first night of State of the Art:

– The Kingdom (Taven & Marseglia) defeated The Boys in the first match of the night with a Frog Splash.

After the match, Matt Taven asked for a microphone and spoke about Dalton Castle. The leader of The Kingdom crossed out the world champion coward and assured that he will soon defeat him. Taven confirmed the absence of the Briscoe and announced that The Kingdom would be in charge of replacing them.

– Flip Gordon defeated Rhett Titus in an individual struggle.

– Sumie Sakai & Tenille Dashwood defeated Kelly Klein & Thunder Rosa in a Women of Honor match.

– Jay Lethal defeated TK O’Ryanin with the Lethal Injection in an individual struggle.

– Team CMLL (Atlantis, Stuka Jr & Guerrero Maya Jr) defeated SoCal Uncensored (Daniels, Kazarian & Sky) in a trio fight.

– Silas Young defeated Curt Stallion in a non-title struggle.

– Punishment Martinez, Bully Ray & Shane Taylor defeated Hurricane Helms, Delirious & Cheeseburger in a trio match.

– Cody (with Brandi Rhodes & Burnard The Bear of Business) defeated Jonathan Gresham in an individual struggle.

– Bullet Club (The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll & Hangman Page) defeated KES (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Junior) & The Kingdom (Taven & Marseglia) in the main event of the night.

Tonight, June 16, will be the second and final night of the State of the Art tour from Dallas. The Briscoes will defend the pair championships against Killer Elite Squad; while The Kingdom will do the same against Team CMLL. The event will be broadcast live by Honor Club.
