The Briscoes get their tenth ROH world tag team championship in Final Battle 2018
The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) reign again in the Ring of Honor (ROH). The Sandy Fork brothers have won their tenth ROH World Tag Team Championship in the Final Battle 2018 event tonight. Mark and Jay have defeated SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian) and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a “Ladder War” match, which took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
The Briscoes, who had not participated in a “Ladder War” for more than seven years, have sown chaos in Final Battle and have managed to pick up the belts from the top of the pavilion. The combat full of chaos and big spots has received very good reviews and considered one of the most violent of the year.
With this victory, The Briscoe Brothers end the 61-day reign of SCU. Kazarian and Sky defeated The Young Bucks and Briscoes themselves a few weeks ago on a television tape in Philadelphia. The only successful defense for Californians took place in Toronto, during the Global Wars 2018 tour, before the Super Smash Brothers.
With this victory, the rumors that both The Young Bucks and SCU will leave ROH are stronger this weekend. Last Final Battle, his last contractual commitment tomorrow, which will be the last set of taping for ROH TV of the year. The Briscoes for their part will remain another year in which their “home” is already considered.
