WWE officials are hopeful that legendary WWE fighter Sasha Banks will make a return to sport in mid-September.

As it was reported previously, Banks is currently not cleared to compete for an unknown reason. She didn’t had a fight since the August 7 WWE Supershow live event in Ft. Myers, Florida, and she missed SummerSlam because she was not cleared.

In an update, PWInsider reports that the hope is that if all goes well, Banks will return to WWE in the next two weeks, which would be the Super SmackDown taping from MSG in New York City.

It was reported that nothing is 100% decided until it happens, however, that weekend is the current expectation for Sasha Banks’ return within WWE. It was also claimed that Banks is not scheduled to return on this week’s SmackDown, unless there is a last-minute change.

WWE plan Big title match at Crown Jewel

At WWE SummerSlam, Bobby Lashley defended the WWE trophy over Goldberg. Post-match, Goldberg’s son, Gage, came out to make the save for his dad only to be choked out by Lashley.

WrestleVotes reported today the plan is for Goldberg vs. Lashley to take place in Saudi Arabia on October 21st for the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event.

“As if it wasn’t obvious, source states WWE is planning on the Goldberg vs Lashley rematch to take place in Saudi Arabia in October.”

Goldberg has one game left on his current WWE contract, which expires next year.

Update on Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract

Dave Meltzer reported in the WWE Observer Newsletter that bringing back Lesnar at SummerSlam was a last-minute contract made by WWE because they wanted to appease FOX. As reported, He wasn’t thrilled about CM Punk going to AEW instead of being offered a contract to return to WWE.

During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer noted that Lesnar has put pen on a paper for 8-12 fights for the rest of his deal. These dates do not include TV appearances.

It has been claimed that Lesnar has signed a deal until 2023.
