WWE celebrates today NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, the first special event of its brand NXT UK. In the fourth of the five bouts of the event, Toni Storm has defeated Rhea Ripley to win the NXT UK Women’s Championship for the first time in her career, becoming the second carrier in the brief history of the championship.
In the final moments of the match, Storm was able to take the victory by pinfall thanks to a Storm Zero, after being dominated by the former champion Rhea Ripley during most of the match. Storm was able to hold a Riptide and apply a first Storm Zero, to later re-use the movement to counterattack a second Riptide attempt.

With this victory, Storm manages to end a 44-day reign. This match also means the rematch of the tournament final to crown the inaugural Feminine Champion of NXT UK. On that occasion, Ripley was able to take the victory thanks to a back injury by Toni Storm.
