The WarGames stipulation returns to NXT and the participants of this year’s match are already here. Through the latest program of the yellow brand of WWE, it was confirmed that the Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Bobby Fish) will face War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe), Ricochet and Pete Dunne in TakeOver: WarGames II.
The announcement of the match came unexpectedly, after a chaotic closure of the show this week. Prior to their confrontation with Cole and Fish, War Raiders appeared to attack them. In the middle of their fight, the rest of the members of Undisputed Era appeared followed by Ricochet, in a series of activities that took them to the ring.
The tag team champions seemed to have the situation dominated but an appearance by Pete Dunne ended up leveling the fight. Finally William Regal, general manager of NXT appeared to calm the mood, giving way to the announcement of this year’s cage battle.
This will be the second fight of WarGames in the history of WWE, being also the first that will feature its classic format of four fighters against four. Undisputed It was repeated their performances this year, having been winners of the first edition in TakeOver last year, where Strong was also in one of the loser sides.
