The moment that many did not believe possible has happened. For the first time, a fighter forced to retire in such health conditions has received medical discharge to make his return to the ring. Daniel Bryan has achieved his goal after spending the last two years struggling to get back on the string. The wrestling industry could not be happier.

You could hardly find a fighter-yes, a new fighter-more popular than Bryan, who went from being an independent star to an NXT participant to a favorite of the public and, at the peak of his career, a WrestleMania star. His struggles against screen authority, his own war against behind-the-scenes stereotyping, make him one of WWE’s most relevant Superstars in the last decade. And now, his career will continue.

But, after an accelerated generational relay, the current WWE cast is very different from the one he left behind in his retirement. His great rivals have gone or have stepped aside; his former independent colleagues have arrived and new faces have made their way into the company. That’s why Bryan can now give us struggles that, until a few hours ago, we could only dream of.

This is just a brief selection of the many dreamed fights that we could get to see in this new stage in Daniel Bryan’s career. They are just six rivals whose merit should not even need explanation.
