During the recent edition of SmackDown Live, WWE Champion Daniel Bryan went to the ring to explain the reason for his attack on AJ Styles when he snatched the title from the blue brand program. Following Bryan’s intervention, the company proceeded to confirm the rematch against The Phenomenal for the WWE Championship at the TLC event.
During the segment, Bryan explained that he did all this to reach the top, something that the WWE universe will never understand, declaring the end of the “yes movement”. These statements reaffirmed the personality change that Daniel Bryan had been presenting the last weeks, starting with the attack on AJ Styles that led to the defeat of the latter and the coronation of Bryan as WWE champion.
Bryan managed to beat Styles after applying a low blow that allowed the account of three and then takes his place in Survivor Series. Although so far The Phenomenal has not returned to appear on screen, it is expected to do so in the coming weeks.
The TLC event will be held on Sunday, December 16 in San Jose, California. Apart from this match, the matches between Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship, Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax for the Women’s RAW Championship and Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin in a match with the stipulation of chairs, stairs, and tables.
