Aleister Black’s Injury Could Be More Serious Than Expected
As we reported, NXT superstar Aleister Black is out of action after recently undergoing surgery. Black was injured after NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa attacked him with a crotch blow during a live event in Las Vegas.
However, the bad news is now coming out. Dave Meltzer indicates in the Wrestling Observer that Black’s injury is more serious than it seemed at first which makes us think that maybe he can not finally be in the PPV.
Aleister Black plans to take on Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano in a triple threat match at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV next week and there has not yet been an official announcement from the company, so it is not known which direction he will take the rivalry in the special event of NXT.
Meltzer reports that it is very likely that they justify Black’s injury with any type of backstage segment but neither does the inclusion of a replacement in the match, mentioning Matt Riddle as one of the possible ones.
