Asuka Wins Battle Royal, Added to Women’s Championship Match at WWE TLC

During the recent edition of SmackDown Live, a Battle Royal was held to determine the third participant in the match for the SmackDown women’s championship in the WWE TLC event. The winner of this fight was Asuka, who returns to the titular orbit after losing her match at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair.

In the last moments of the match, Asuka was in the ring with Sonya Deville. The Japanese managed to prevail and eliminate Deville to win the Battle Royal which gives her the starting chance for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the WWE TLC event, in which Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch participate.

This triple threat becomes the first defense of the champion Becky Lynch after the eye injury suffered by the blow by Nia Jax in the RAW program. In addition, it is the first incumbent chance of the Japanese, who was away from the titular orbit for several months.

The TLC event will be held on Sunday, December 16 in San Jose, California. Apart from this match, the match between Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship, Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Championship and Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.
