Becky Lynch will face Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble 2019

In the recent episode of SmackDown Live, WWE superstars Carmella, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch battled in search of a title shot for the women’s blue-label Championship that is in Asuka’s hands. The winner and now challenger was Becky Lynch, the title match will take place at the Royal Rumble event.

The match between the three superstars was announced from last week’s show. In the last moments of the match, Becky Lynch managed to take the victory after making surrender to Carmella. With this victory, The Man wins the opportunity to face the SmackDown women’s Champion Asuka, in what would mean his rematch for the title.

It should be remembered that Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch have been involved in a rivalry dating back weeks. The Japanese managed to emerge victorious and new female champion of SmackDown after the intervention of Ronda Rousey in his favor in a match of chairs, stairs and tables during the special TLC PPV.

The WWE Royal Rumble event will be held next Sunday, January 27 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to this fight, other important ones like Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship, Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and the Royal Rumble match to decide the challengers to the WWE Championship in the WrestleMania event.
