Charlotte Flair Ends the Undefeated Asuka
Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka at Wrestlemania 34 to retain the SmackDown women’s championship. The fight had a great level and could be considered as the best fight in the history of women in Wrestlemania to date. Asuka based her strategy on injuring the arms of Charlotte Flair especially her right arm and was on the verge of achieving victory by submission on several occasions but Charlotte managed to take the fight by submission through Figure eight.
It should be noted that Charlotte Flair made a spectacular entry with a gold-colored outfit sitting on a throne and with the classic theme of his father Ric Flair. On the way to the ring, she was escorted by two gladiators.
Once the fight was over, Asuka picked up the microphone and recognized the defeat with the following statement: “Charlotte, you’re ready for Asuka. Congratulations.” After these words, the two fighters melted into a hug.
Asuka won the first Royal Rumble Match in history in January and chose to fight for the women’s SmackDown championship against Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania.
