Did WWE change the main event of Money in the Bank?
There are several rumors that are appearing in relation to the main event of Money In the Bank.
The plan during the last week was to close the show with Ronda Rousey facing Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Championship and then Alexa Bliss to exchange Money in the Bank to close the show with the celebration of Alexa and her new championship. Even without knowing why, the decision was made to finish the show with the “happy ending” of having Braun Strowman winning the MITB Male Ladder Match.
Did Money in the Bank last longer than expected?
One of the problems was the PPV time in general which lasted so long that they canceled the post-show on the WWE Network. During the show, people were told that it would end at the scheduled time, that is, at 10:30 p.m. As the minutes progressed, the show did not end until 11:20 pm, almost an hour more than planned.
The Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder match was rehearsed with Tyson Kidd and Fit Finley as the agents in charge but mostly Kidd, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The match between Ronda Rousey against Nia Jax in the show was also completely rehearsed in Chicago before the show with Finlay preparing the match with both fighters. In contrast, the fight between Asuka vs SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella was not practiced ahead of time.
