Former NFL Player Pat McAfee signs a contract with WWE
Former NFL player Pat McAfee has signed a multi-year contract with WWE. McAfee, who appeared on some NXT TakeOver Pre-Shows in recent months, recently signed the agreement. As reported by Ryan Satin, news portal ProWrestlingsheet, McAfee will work on digital content of WWE, specifically NXT, although the latter has not yet been confirmed at 100%.
“WWE has formally offered me a multi-year contract,” revealed the popular host on the latest episode of the Pat McAfee program. “Who knows what we’re going to do there, they just want me to come and do some content, and we’ll see where it’s going, I’m very excited about this, this is a dream come true.”
Pat McAfee retired from the NFL in 2016 at the age of 29. He then joined Barstool Sports and became one of the most popular personalities before leaving in August.
