The former winner of the third season of Tough Enough, Matt Cappotelli died at the age of 38 years, said his wife, Lindsay Cappotelli.

She wrote the following on her Facebook account :
After a successful surgery to remove 90% of the tumor in 2007, Matt announced 10 years later that the tumor had returned, larger and more aggressive. He received an operation to eliminate most of it, which was successful. However, last month Lindsay Cappotelli said Matt had suspended his cancer treatment on the recommendation of doctors.

However, the portion that was inoperable due to being too close to his brain stem, gave him serious complications. Matt would discover that he had grade IV glioblastoma multiforme, the deadliest form of cancer according to doctors. To make matters worse, this form of cancer has a rate of five percent of people who survive five years. Still, Matt stated that “in no way will it stop me from continuing my fight.”

Finally, the grade IV glioblastoma multiforme, put an end to the life of Cappotelli today. Rest in peace.
