The WWE ex-superstar James Ellsworth published in yesterday in his personal Twitter account the creation of a new championship which aims to defend independent promotions. This is the intergender title that can defend both men and women.

The idea of this belt comes from one of his battles in WWE, the last one he made for the company. It was an intergender fight in which Ellsworth was defeated by Becky Lynch in the episode of SmackDown Live on November 7. Ellsworth is also experienced as the manager of Carmella.

After his dismissal and his great success in WWE with his segment for the title with AJ Styles, James Ellsworth has had a lot of work in the independent scene. His last outstanding performance was in the rebirth of NWA in which he fought for the heavyweight championship against champion Nick Aldis who lost. In addition, he also won a victory in the ACW promoter where he began his career in wrestling before the member of the WWE Hall of Fame Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Ellsworth intends to launch its championship project in the upcoming independent promotions in which it will appear. So far it has been announced for House of Hardcore and also for WrestleCon in New Orleans, on the weekend of Wrestlemania 34.
