James Ellsworth return helps, Carmella retains the Women’s Championship in Money in The Bank
With several predictions against the SmackDown women’s champion, Carmella emerged victorious from the Money in the Bank event. In the most recent WWE PPV, “The Princess of Staten Island” managed to defeat the challenger Asuka in a match that, as has become customary with Carmella in Money in the Bank was accompanied by controversy.
Both met in an even meeting that saw the Japanese have the advantage in the final moments. However, when the triumph seemed certain for “The Empress of Tomorrow”, a figure dressed in her entrance attire appeared to distract her and cost her the triumph, revealing to be James Ellsworth who made his surprise comeback to the company to help Carmella with whom in the past he had worked until his departure last year. At the moment, it is unknown whether Ellsworth’s return was a temporary one or a full-time one.

It should be noted that several American portals pointed out before the show that James Ellsworth was hiding in the bus of WWE with the aim of hiding his identity until making his appearance in Money in The Bank. Earlier this week the rumor of the possible appearance of Ellsworth in Money in The Bank was launched and the fighter himself had to deny that information through social networks. Ellsworth was scheduled to defend his inter-gender championship at Middle Kingdom Wrestling in Harbin, China today. However, Adrian Gomez, owner of the developer, reported this weekend that Ellsworth would not appear at the show.
