WWE SmackDown Live July 17, 2018 Preview
USA Network will air this week the 987 episode of SmackDown Live from the Mohegan Sun Arena At Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA. On this occasion, WWE has announced several storylines that could continue in this show.
– Shinsuke Nakamura will defend the United States Championship against Jeff Hardy in this week’s SmackDown Live episode. “The Artist” took the title in the most controversial fight of Extreme Rules, applying a low blow to Jeff before ringing the bell and defeating him with the Kinshasa in a few seconds. For that reason, Jeff Hardy will use his rematch clause.
– Who will be the next opponent of AJ Styles? “The Phenomenal One” beat Rusev in Extreme Rules to retain the WWE Championship and await the new opponent. With Shinsuke Nakamura, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton wrapped in a storyline for the US Championship, who will challenge the champion for Summerslam?
– Will Daniel Bryan recover from the defeat of Team Hell No? With Kane out of combat, Daniel Bryan has the option to forget or go against the Bludgeon Brothers without the help of his partner. What path will it take?
– In tonight SmackDown Live we will see the reaction of Asuka after losing against Carmella in Extreme Rules. “The Empress of Tomorrow” could not prevent James Ellsworth from intervening in the fight in favor of the champion and it is probable that he does not have a new starting chance.
