Money in the Bank 2018 Preview

Money in the Bank 2018 Preview

This coming Sunday, June 17th, the PPV, Money in the Bank, is held at the All-State of Chicago, a special event that over the years has established itself as one of the favorites of the public and right now is considered as the fifth largest of the company.

In this event, we will have at stake two briefcases that will give the opportunity to each of the winners to fight for the men’s or women’s title they choose during the next year.

AJ Styles vs Nakamura for WWE Title
The third consecutive battle between both and the rivalry begins to become heavy. This time we will have the last man standing match, but Nakamura’s heel does not convince, and the battles between the two have not reached the WWE Universe. Hopefully this is the last fight and whatever happens, the company will go towards a new rivalry for both.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: The Miz vs Samoa Joe vs Bobby Roode vs Finn Balor vs Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens vs Rusev vs a member of New Day
With the question still to know who will be the member of the team of New Day that participates in the combat, we are before a combat of stairs very open. We have on the one hand Braun Strowman as a clear favorite, but we can not rule out that someone wanted by the public like Finn Balor or Rusev wins, or that the victory is for a heel that needs to take hold in that position as The Miz or Samoa Joe.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Charlotte vs. Ember Moon vs. Sasha Banks vs. Naomi vs. Lana vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya vs. Becky Lynch
If we said that the masculine combat was very open, the same we can say of the feminine combat, although they emphasize the names of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss by their past like champions, we can not discard that some fighter like the rookie, Ember Moon, or Becky Lynch, one of the few fighters with experience in ladder combat, can get to win in this match.

Nia Jax vs Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Title
First chance for a WWE title for Ronda Rousey, and there has been controversial because there are people who say it has arrived too early. Whether this is true or not, we will see on Sunday, although it could be that Ronda Rousey suffered the wrath of Stephanie McMahon after his defeat at Wrestlemania and that the fight did not end very legally. It will be necessary to see what role Nia Jax plays in this match since it will be the first rival he will have after finishing his rivalry with Alexa Bliss.

Carmella vs Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Title
Carmella is surprising both locals and strangers with his reign as many considered her a weak champion and would soon lose the title. Instead after coming out victorious from her rivalry with Charlotte, Carmella has shown that she can be a great champion heel.

His opponent this time will be Asuka, who after losing at Wrestlemania has lost a bit the aura of being special and has remained as a rival. Also, if we add the rumors that James Ellsworth could return to this event to help Carmella, he could give more interest to this match.

Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal
Roman Reigns found a new rival in Jinder Mahal when it cost him the opportunity to enter the Money in the Bank ladder bout. We do not know if this will be an inpás until Brock Lesnar, the Universal champion, returns to the company to defend the title, but the combat does not attract too much to the fan.

On the other hand, Mahal although established as heel still seems to be light years away from the importance of Reigns in the company, so the combat seems unbalanced.

Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn
First rivalry for Bobby Lashley since his arrival at the company and the truth is that it does not seem the best option to face Sami Zayn. Also, the storyline with the idea of the three sisters of Lashley appearing in RAW has not been the best idea that could have had WWE.

We’ll see if Lashley and Zayn are capable of a good fight but everything looks like this will end Lashley’s quick victory on his way to the championship.

Seth Rollins vs. Elias for the Intercontinental Title

One of the most attractive matches of the card, first for novelty, so far have never faced both fighters in a PPV and therefore for a title and second for the openness of it, because with the rumors of the possibility of Rollins fight for the Universal title shortly, there could be a change of title in this event.

Elias has been confirmed as one of the most successful heels with the public and a belt could well be a leap forward in his career in the company.

Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass
Another fight repeated, and another rivalry that does not quite take hold among the public of the WWE Universe, who is looking forward to seeing Bryan against AJ Styles or Samoa Joe.

On the other hand, the return of Big Cass to the company after his injury does not finish to fulfill the expectations put in the fighter and we will see if after this combat his rivalry changes and we see it against new contenders.

The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for the Smackdown Tag team Titles
This is the only bout announced for the Kick Off of the event, and it makes clear to us what is the way of thinking of WWE regarding the titles of couples of the company, and not only Smackdown, since the one of RAW, has not even been announced today as the combat of the event.

In the fight itself, the logic says that Bludgeon Brothers should win to get into a rivalry with SAnitY but in WWE everything can happen.
