Possible Plans for the Main Event of WrestleMania 35

WWE will hold WrestleMania 35 on April 7, 2019, from Metlife Stadium in New York. Although there is more than a year left for this event new information has emerged around the main event that will star in the show, highlighting several ideas that would be raised.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s specialist journalist Dave Meltzer has commented on his latest radio program about the idea that WWE will have for the main combat of WrestleMania 35. As detailed, the WWE board will be discussing the idea of placing Ronda Rousey in the main fight of the card next year, starring for the first time a female duel.

WWE wants to bet on Rousey as one of its main attractions taking advantage of the positive reviews it has received after its first match. Meltzer comments that WWE had interviewed several women to point out that they wanted to have seen Rousey in the WrestleMania 34 main event.

As for the idea of his opponent at first, the fighter with more possibilities to face it will be Charlotte Flair. the former Smackdown live Women’s champion. For several months now, both fighters have expressed their desire to face each other in several interviews suggesting a future duel.

Apart from the fight against Charlotte, WWE wants to build a duel between Rousey and Asuka. Meltzer noted that when Rousey arrived the board told Asuka to use the armbar in every fight she could. Even so, in the duel last Sunday, the company will have “forbidden” her to use it since that will be Rousey’s finisher in WWE.

At the moment the date of the next match in which Rousey will participate is unknown but it is scheduled for the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden on July 7. In addition, she has appeared in advertising for the Survivor Series and SummerSlam events.
