Possible plans for the WWE Mixed Match Challenge final
This week the finalists of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament were announced in the last episode broadcast on WWE Network from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox will face Carmella and R-Truth in the final, to be held this Sunday at the TLC PPV. WWE has not given more details about it in the last hours, but the fight could be held in the Kickoff Show due to a large number of matches that have been announced on the card, a figure that amounts to 12 matches.
The latest rumors indicate that WWE decided the plans of the final a few weeks ago, specifically when it was announced that the winners were going to get the 30th place in the respective real battles that will take place in Royal Rumble. Additionally, the winners will get vacations with all expenses paid anywhere in the world.
At the moment, it seems that the plan is for Carmella and R-Truth to win the final and get their place in the Royal Rumble and their vacation trip. However, it is likely that WWE has an ace up his sleeve for the case of R-Truth. Apparently, a big star could come out in its place at number 30. This is an idea that has been shuffled in recent weeks.
The first edition of the Mixed Match Challenge was not relevant in the WWE plots, but the teams fought in a direct elimination tournament, each defending a charity. The winners of the first edition, The Miz and Asuka, donated the $100,000 prize to Rescues Dog Rock, a shelter for abandoned dogs. The second season has had several changes in the format, becoming a league between teams of Raw and SmackDown Live with a duration of 14 weeks. From the beginning, the prize to obtain was not announced, but it has finally been revealed.
