The specialized news outlet The Wrestling Observer Newsletter contributed in its most recent edition, new information about the return to the ring of WWE superstar Samoa Joe. Apparently, the former NXT champion is expected to return soon to action and his plans would be to have a rivalry for the Universal Championship.

It is expected that Joe will return after WrestleMania and start a rivalry with Roman Reigns, who will defeat Brock Lesnar in that event obtaining the maximum title of the Raw brand. So far, “The Big Dog” and “The Samoan Submission Machine” are scheduled to meet on the European tour that WWE will perform in the UK and Ireland in May.

In addition, a fight between both has been announced for Monday, May 7 on Raw, which will reinforce the veracity of these rumors.

It should be remembered that Samoa Joe has been absent due to an injury suffered in early January. This week the former NXT champion was present behind the scenes during Raw, which will confirm that his return could take place soon. Some speculated that Joe could return to be Braun Strowman’s partner in the fight for the Raw Tag Team Championship against The Bar, but it is believed that WWE will put Elias as a partner in “The Monster Among Men”.
