Rey Mysterio Qualifies for the WWE World Cup Final

The participants of the WWE World Cup tournament have been completed with a stellar return. This week during the SmackDown 1000 special, veteran wrestler Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE on television to defeat Shinsuke Nakamura and qualify for the Crown Jewel tournament.

Mysterio appeared on SmackDown after more than 4 years of absence, facing the current US champion. In what was the main match of the program, Mysterio had his welcome with a 619 that facilitated the victory over the Japanese.

With its triumph, WWE has already defined the 8 participants of its world tournament which will be held on November 2 at the Crown Jewel show. Mysterio meanwhile will be representing the brand SmackDown, along with Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, and The Miz.

It should be remembered that Rey Mysterio recently signed an agreement with WWE for 2 years and that the company announced that his return is full time. Mysterio has been added to several shows to be held in the coming months, including the most important WWE events, such as Survivor Series, Starrcade or TLC.
