Rey Mysterio, Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long Confirmed for the SmackDown 1000 show

Mike Johnson of PWinsider has confirmed that Rey Mysterio will make his return to WWE at SmackDown 1000 to be held in two weeks in Washington, DC. During the last weeks it had been speculated on with the possibility that Mysterio returned in Super Show-Down but in the last hours, this rumor has been ruled out.

Johnson also confirmed two weeks ago that Rey Mysterio reached an agreement to sign a two-year contract with the McMahon company. The superstar of Mexican origin was to sign a one and a half year contract.

However, WWE wanted him to sign for two years. After the negotiations, both parties reached an agreement for Mysterio to sign the option proposed by the company. However, a notification clause was added at 18 months.

It has also been reported that locally the special appearance of Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero in SmackDown 1000. Long made his return to WWE in 2016 after 2 years of absence specifically in the episode of Monday Night Raw held on June 6. Subsequently, it was announced to be part of the WWE Hall of Fame. For her part, Vickie Guerrero participated in the women’s Royal Rumble Match and was eliminated by Michelle McCool, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Ruby Riott.

For SmackDown 1000 several surprises and appearances are expected, among which has confirmed the presence of the group Evolution, consisting of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista.
