According to the news portal PWInsider, former WWE superstar Rey Mysterio will carry out important medical studies this week with company personnel with the intention of closing negotiations on his return.

The wrestler will travel this week to the city of Birmingham in the state of Alabama to meet with doctors specializing in treating WWE injuries. PWInsider indicated that Mysterio will undergo tests to check the condition of his left biceps where he suffered an injury weeks ago in an independent event. It is believed that the injury is not serious, so these tests could simply be a way to ensure that the status of the fighter is optimal to close the agreement.

The company and the fighter have been in contact since its appearance at the Royal Rumble event. On the side of Mysterio is known that his intention is to sign a part-time agreement where he is free to work on other projects, to this we must add that recently the former WWE champion joined the company Aro Lucha as a talent and is one of the owners.

In addition, on March 25, Mysterio had scheduled a fight with the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger in the event of the New Japan Pro Wrestling company Strong Style Evolved. In this case, it will seem that the fighter will be left out of the aforementioned event.
